Cosmetic dentistry is the area of dentistry concerned with improving the appearance of your smile. Ultimately, cosmetic dentistry is a very personal experience and can mean many different things to different people. For some people, cosmetic dentistry might mean a complete smile makeover or redesign, for others, it may be possible to change the appearance of your smile quite drastically by making a few small tweaks.
If you are looking for a stress-free solution to replace your missing teeth, regain your confidence and give you a smile that makes you look and feel good again then take a look at how Cosmetic dentures have moved on in recent years.
Cosmetic dentures are a truly bespoke, well-fitting appliance that blends in harmony with your mouth and facial features to give you a natural great-looking smile where no one can tell that your teeth are missing.
People wear dentures to replace lost or missing teeth. Made of either acrylic (plastic) or metal, they can be put in and taken out of your mouth.
Full or complete dentures are used where all your teeth are missing in either the upper or lower jaw.
Partial dentures are used where one or more teeth have been lost or are missing. They are fastened to your natural teeth with metal clasps or precision attachments
We use a special partial denture called Valplast™ which is almost impossible to detect in the mouth. The material is exceptionally strong and unbreakable and completely eliminates the metal clasps that you may have seen on other partial dentures, thereby improving aesthetics.
Partial dentures are offer a removable option to dental bridges.
You should wear dentures
If you have suffered with ill fitting or uncomfortable dentures, our cosmetic dentures give you the confidence you need to smile again.
We advise you to wear your dentures all the time initially so that you can get used to them. New dentures may feel strange or uncomfortable for the first few weeks or even months. You may find you produce more saliva and when eating you may have to start with soft foods before you can resume a normal healthy diet. Your dentures may feel bulky or loose initially whilst your muscles in your cheeks and tongue get used to holding the dentures in place. Once over the initial `teething problems’, dentures should be relatively hassle free.
Over a period of time, your denture will need to be relined, remade, or rebased due to normal wear and tear. In addition as you age, your mouth will change. These changes may cause your dentures to loosen, making chewing difficult and irritating your gums. You should therefore visit us for an annual check up.
We understand that price is an important consideration factor. Like any dental treatment, the cost of a cosmetic denture is dependant on the number of teeth that are missing, where they are located in the mouth, the condition of your other teeth, the quality of materials used and the skill of the laboratory technician.
When you come to see us for your first consultation, we will determine the most appropriate treatment for you and provide you with a treatment plan and cost.
Your denture is guaranteed for one year.
